Tunnels

(or on my quest for liberation)

It feels like one brick wall hitting you one right after another, although you don’t stop you just keep walking as if you’re in a tunnel and they (the brick walls) fall away on either side as you keep walking easily through the tunnel that isn’t really a tunnel, and the brick walls that aren’t really brick walls at all. They’re just reminders, relics of the past; relics that remind you of where you’ve been, and where you want to go, what you want to see at the other end of the tunnel when all the walls have fallen; when the clarity is so real, so present, so lucid.

You are just there, and you know it. And all of the brick walls that have fallen, that lie there at your sides are all the obstacles that you have surpassed for your moment of clarity, a clarity that is the sweetest of the sweet. A clarity that will carry you through other tunnels, and past other walls, if you are fortunate to traverse them on this journey called life.
